Who we are
Aye Chief is a nutrition and weight coach for iPhone, with this website for your account, billing and support. This policy explains what we collect, why, where it goes and how to reach us. Aye Chief is planning help, not a medical service.
What stays on your iPhone
Your profile, goals, meal plans, food log, chat history, photos of recipes you send to the coach, and the weight and burn figures you tell it live on your iPhone, in its normal iCloud device backup. We do not store them on our servers.
If you allow Apple Health, the app reads your weight and energy figures when a screen or the coach needs them and then drops them. It never stores them, never uses them for advertising, and only writes to Apple Health the weigh-ins you tell it.
What we keep on our servers
- Your account: name, email address, how you sign in (Apple on the iPhone; Apple or Google on this website), and your sessions.
- Your consent record: which version of the consent you agreed to, and when.
- Usage counts: how many AI and voice requests you made and what they cost — never what you said or what the coach replied.
- Your subscription status, once plans exist.
- Support requests you send us, and our replies. Please don't include health details you don't want us to keep.
How a message reaches the coach
When you message or call the coach, the app sends what that reply needs — your message, the relevant part of your plan and profile, and Apple Health figures if you allowed them — through our servers to the services below. Each message is handled in memory and dropped once the reply is done. Nothing you send is used to train AI models.
Who receives your data, and where
These recipients process your data outside Australia where shown (Australian Privacy Principle 8). This list is the same one the app shows before you agree; if it changes, we ask you again. Consent version 2026-10-11.draft-3.

Support emails are sent by our email provider. Stripe sends receipts and invoices if you subscribe on the website.
How long we keep it
- Your account and consent record: until you delete your account.
- Support requests: deleted automatically 24 months after they are closed, or when you delete your account, whichever is first.
- Usage counts: kept for cost accounting; when you delete your account they are separated from your identity.
Your choices and rights
You can export your data from the app, ask the coach to correct anything it holds, withdraw your consent, or delete your account at any time — in the app, or on the Account page here. Deleting your account removes it from our servers; data on your iPhone is erased from the app, and weigh-ins saved to Apple Health stay there.

Automated decisions
The coach uses AI to suggest meals and targets. Its suggestions are planning help; you decide what to eat, and nothing it does has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Aye Chief is for adults aged 18 and over.
